Brand-New Group Cycle Studio Now Open

Hendon Leisure Centre is has upgraded your Group Cycle class experience and has now opened a brand-new Group Cycle studio. 

Group Cycling, which already runs at the centre, now has its own immersive studio so you can focus on your lower body strength and cardio fitness. During these classes, you will continue to use a stationary bike, with an instructor leading you through different speeds and resistance levels and the brand-new studio will be fully equipped with LED lighting to help keep your immersed and motivated throughout your workout.

Choose from loads of great, motivational group activities that’ll help you strengthen and condition your whole body:

Core Conditioning  

Get better strength and posture with our Core Stability fitness class. This low-impact class uses a range of innovative equipment and your own body weight to develop a stronger core.

Strength & Conditioning

Do you want a stronger and more sculpted body? Our Strength & Conditioning fitness classes are designed to help you get fitter, stronger and leaner.

Legs, Bums & Tums

Packed full of moves that will work and strengthen your body, Legs, Bums and Tums (LBT) classes are a popular option for staying active and toning your lower body.  

From squats and lunges for your legs to and ab exercises for your core, work out your whole body to upbeat music and meet a bunch of new people along the way.

Our LBT classes are suitable for every ability level and we even run a beginner-friendly class for those just starting their fitness journey. Target and tone the muscles in your lower body with a Better Legs, Bums and Tums class near you.

Circuits

Our Circuit classes offer an intense workout with better results! Focusing on high-energy interval training this class is designed to push you to your limits and improve your strength, stamina and endurance.

 Body Conditioning

Once you start, you won’t ever want to stop. These intense, exciting classes combine cardio and conditioning for a full on, high-energy workout.

Mind & Body

Mind & Body

Pilates

Centre yourself. Our Pilates classes come in all shapes and sizes, but they all focus on concentration and muscle control, for a highly effective workout. Better for: Lengthening and strengthening your core.

Tai Chi

Focussed relaxation – a blissful combination.  Tai Chi is a class based on deep breathing and slow, gentle movements, which is lower-impact, but requires good focus. Better for: Improving  flexibility and positivity.

Yoga

Loosen up and let go. Our mix of Yoga classes feature a range of exercises from energetic, full-body workouts to relaxing, more traditional poses. Better for: Gaining peace of mind, improving  overall strength and wellbeing.

Cardio

Cardio

Group Cycle

Pedal your way fit. Work at your own pace as you cycle along with the group in one of our themed classes to uplifting music, or focus on achieving your goals in one of our discipline -based classes. Better for: Lower body strength and conditioning.

Functional Fitness

Get better strength and balance. The exercises in this session are designed to help you train and prepare your body for daily tasks by simulating common movements and muscles you use everyday at home, work or during sports. Better for: Overall strength, coordination and balance

 

 

HIIT

Better results, faster. A full body workout. Push yourself to the limit with  quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods that will keep your heart rate up and help you reach your goals quicker. 

Junior

  • Mind and Body Junior:

Feel better inside and out in one of our Junior Mind & Body classes. Build your strength and flexibility in these lower-impact classes which incorporate Pilates and Yoga in one class. These classes will leave you feeling calm and revived.

  • Dance Junior

 

Get fit and feel great in one of our Junior Dance classes which incorporate a selection of Dance styles from Zumba to Dance Fitness in one class.  These classes will put a smile on your face while burning calories.

 

  • Cardio Junior

 

Get your heart pumping and increase your energy levels in one of our Junior Cardio classes.  These classes are fast-paced with high energy activities which could include HIIT and Step Aerobics in one class.

 

  • Strength and Conditioning Junior

 

Strengthen and condition your whole body in one of our Junior Strength & Conditioning classes.  These classes are a combination of strength and conditioning activities that could include Circuit Training and Body Conditioning in one class.

An aerobic fitness programme featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance music. Guaranteed to make you sweat!
